Beginner Crochet Lesson

Crochet takes time, patience, and practice, but this beginner lesson is a great place to start! In this small-group lesson, participants will learn the very first steps of crochet, including how to hold the hook and yarn, make a slip knot, create a starting chain, and begin practicing basic stitches.

This lesson is designed to introduce the basics and help you get comfortable with the tools and movements. Crochet is a skill that builds with repetition, so we’ll only begin to scratch the surface, but you’ll leave with a better understanding of where to start and how to keep practicing at home. Each participant will receive a skein of yarn and a crochet hook to take home for continued practice.
