Artwork Guidelines
Artists interested in consigning work at The Artist’s Hoard will be asked to sign a consignment agreement, which outlines expectations and requirements — including, but not limited to, the information below.
Gallery Space Display
Eligible Items
Only original, hanging 2D artwork and photography are accepted for display.
- Work must be original (no reproductions) and created within the last two years.
- No 3D artwork is accepted at this time.
- Content must be family-friendly and may not include graphic, violent, or offensive imagery.
- Artwork must be free of copyrighted material (including licensed characters, or logos unless the artist holds the rights).
Aesthetic & Style: Artwork must fit the store’s aesthetic: bright,
bold, colorful, playful, or whimsical.
Presentation Requirements
- Canvas: Must have finished edges and a wire hanger on the back.
- Paper or canvas panels: Must be framed in a simple silver or black frame with a clear hanger or wire on the back.
- Artwork must be ready to hang upon drop-off.
- Label information (Title, Artist, Medium, Size, Price) must be submitted in advance for approval.
Prints, Cards, & Stickers
Eligible Items
- Only reproductions of the artist’s original artwork are accepted for this category.
- All prints and merch must be free of any copyrighted material unless rights are held.
Acceptable items include:
- Art prints (must be sleeved with a backer board)
- Greeting cards (must be sleeved; backer optional)
- Stickers (no packaging required).
Miscellaneous Info
Packaging & Display:
- Artists must provide appropriate packaging for their items.
- The store will manage product display.
Barcodes & Inventory:
- The Store will create all barcodes.
- No SKU limit currently exists but may be implemented if needed.
- Artists are responsible for restocking their items; the Store will notify artists when items are selling particularly well.

- Name of artist

- Price or "Display Only"
Inventory, Display, and Prioritization
Inventory: To maintain an accurate count of consigned items, the Artist
must provide an inventory list with every drop-off of prints, cards, and
stickers.
Original Artwork Display Period: Each
piece will be on display for a minimum of 4 weeks and maximum of 8 weeks.
Pickup & Drop-off: Artwork must be
delivered and retrieved during business hours within the designated timeframe
provided by the Store.
Store Discretion: The Store reserves the right to revoke display privileges at any time.
Artwork Safety: The Store will take all
precautions possible to ensure the safety of the displayed items and will work to address any issues that arise; however, the Store is not liable for any
damage to the artwork.
Priority Clause: If display space becomes limited, originals that are designated for sale will receive priority placement.
Commission Information
Commission:
A 20% commission is retained by the Store from the retail price for all
consigned items (originals and merchandise) if payment is made via check.
If the artist opts for store credit, they retain 100% of the sale price.
Payment Schedule: Sales are paid out the first week of the following month, with a detailed report.
